How You Can Create the Perfect Mindset And Succeed At What You Really Want

“Failure is the opportunity to begin again, more intelligently.”―Henry Ford

“I haven’t failed, I just have found 10,000 ways that didn’t work.” Thomas Edison

“Success is 99% failure.” Soichiro Honda

“Even if you fall on your face, you’re still moving forward.” Victor Kiam

Do you really believe these quotes? Do you agree that chances are when you are going after something really big, you are going to fail along the way … at least once?

Anyone and everyone who has ever achieved anything BIG always says that before they were successful, they tasted failure time and time again.

There are going to be things you do wrong in the beginning.

There are going to be certain things that don’t fall into place like they should.

There are going to be things that don’t come together as quickly as you had planned.

Doesn’t it seem realistic to you that if so many other people experienced “failures” and challenges along the way, you also may experience some as you move toward success?

Let’s be honest, it’s easy to answer yes.

BUT … it’s an entirely different thing to really believe it and then take it a step further and apply it when challenges and “failures” come your way.

Even though we know that everything we try is not going to always 100% perfectly fall into place, we still get frustrated and disappointed every single time something goes wrong.

We then start with the negative talk …

“Why did I fail again?”

“Things never really work out for me.”

“Maybe I should just give up. I wasn’t being realistic when I thought I could do this”.

It’s an easy trap to fall into. Trust me, I so get it. I know exactly how it feels to get discouraged when things don’t fall into place.

I definitely have had my fair share of times where I would question everything and if what I was doing made any sense at all (especially after something didn’t go as planned).

I would allow my disappointment about whatever didn’t happen take a front seat.

Not allowing our disappointment to overshadow our passion is one of the main tests we all have to pass on the road to success.

Those people that really made the BIG things they wanted happen were open to “failing”.

When things went wrong, even though they may have been disappointed, they never stopped working at what there were trying to do.

They learned how to manage through the disappointment while still turning their attention to the bigger picture and accomplishing what they had set out to do.

They focused on figuring out where they went wrong? How could they change things up? What did they need to do differently?

They truly accepted that “failing” and having certain things go “wrong” was just a part of the process.

And, that is sooooo the mentality it takes to accomplish those BIG things.

There is a reason why everyone doesn’t accomplish BIG things and one major difference between those people that do and those that don’t has to do with mindset and their openness to learning by “failing”.

If you are really trying to do something BIG, chances are that it’s not going to be a cakewalk. Things may not always fall into place immediately and perfectly at the time you wanted.

But, what can fall into place perfectly is your perspective, your continual belief in yourself and your commitment to go after what you really want, regardless of the number of times you may fall.

They say that …

“Faith is taking the first step when you can’t see the staircase.” Martin Luther King Jr.

How true that is … And, faith is also taking the 2nd step and then all the ones that follow even when you have failed and are disappointed.

So, that’s the new perspective I have opened myself up to and I can honestly say I really believe there is no such thing as failure.

When you are really passionate about something, its all about continually strengthening your belief that you can succeed, signing up to try and try again, and opening yourself up to any “failure” until you find the way.

TODAY is the day to embrace this perspective and apply it to anything you are trying to accomplish.

the possibility of today:

  1. Believe, Believe, Believe. Starting TODAY and every TODAY that follows, continually remind yourself of your true potential and all that you are capable of. Take a couple of minutes every single morning and reflect on your true potential and strengthen your belief that you will absolutely succeed.
  2. Be open to “failing”  finding your way to success … no matter what happens or how disappointed you may feel at times.

As long as you start doing these 2 things TODAY, there is no way you will not get to where you want to be.
