“Sometimes you have to stop worrying, wondering, and doubting. Have faith that things will work out just how they are meant to be.”
On a scale of 1 to 10, where would you say you fall when it comes to always believing that things will work out? I mean really, really believing that no matter what the situation is, everything will ultimately work out in your best interest?
I realized sometime ago this was a “growth area” for me. It’s not that I didn’t have some belief and I would even repeatedly say that everything was going to be okay. It’s just there were times I had my doubts.
It’s an easy trap to fall into — isn’t it?
Those times when we continually focus on the worse case scenario, work ourselves up and get stressed that things aren’t really going to be okay.
Those instances where we end up quitting too soon all because we let the “Chief Negativity Officer” in our mind convince us that what we are trying to accomplish just isn’t really possible.
Or, even those times when nothing is actually going wrong, but we tell ourselves that we need to prepare for things to go wrong or not work out.
In every one of these instances, we want to believe so badly that things are going to be okay, but if we are being honest with ourselves, we know there are doubts and fears that creep up and continually call our belief into question.
You Have to Manually Remove the Doubts
So, I finally figured out that the problem wasn’t that I had doubts. Doubts are common and they can plague us no matter how much we want to believe.
The problem was that I wasn’t doing everything I could to transform those doubts so they could eventually melt away. I wasn’t doing the things that would allow me to overshadow my doubts and fears with what I knew deep down to be true. This was a major issue because those doubts and fears work against you when you focus on them too much. They get in the way of the good things that really are trying their best to come your way.
And, the reality is, that when we look back on every situation with mature and wise eyes, if we are open to seeing the bigger picture, we can always see that every single thing that happened, in one way or another was important and necessary for us to go through.
It’s like one of my favorite sayings explains,
”Every experience has shaped you, strengthened you and set you up to take advantage of the future in a new and improved way.”
One of the most important things we can do is get better and better at trusting that everything that comes our way is always in our best interest. That’s why we have to be committed to strengthening our belief every single day that everything unfolds perfectly because oftentimes that doesn’t happen automatically.
The Possibility of Today:
1. Do at least one thing every single day to strengthen your belief. Remind yourself of all the times things have worked out before. Think about all the situations you have made it through. Remember all those times when things came together just like you needed them to. Remind yourself there are no exceptions and everything that happens in one way or another is in your best interest.
2. Take a “Time In” to focus on what’s working: If you feel the doubts start creeping up, take a “Time In” for 60 seconds and reflect on all the things that are working today. Don’t overlook anything – the little things definitely count. Get your mind focused on the right types of thoughts again.
Live Today Better than Yesterday.

Hi Sibyl,
Yes, I agree that it is human nature to doubt. the turning point can be when you realize that “logic” doesn’t always rule. In fact, it can send you to some pretty scary places if you let it! And as you pointed out, it’s really important not to allow ourselves to go there. Following our intuition and keeping our minds quiet so we can hear our guidance come through, really helps. When a situation looks dire, logic gives me nothing, and even intuition feels like it’s just not coming on through today, I just remind myself that everything does indeed work out as it is supposed to, and “all is well.”
I think that is an important reminder Julie and it’s great that you can take your thoughts there:) Thank you so much for the comment and for dropping by. I appreciate it:)
THIS IS JUST WHAT I NEEDEDTO HEAR, THANK YOU SO MUCH IT’S GREAT.
I’LL TRY TO KEEP THIS IN MY MIND
So glad Claudia:) Thanks for the comment and thanks for dropping by. Always appreciated.
I guess I’ve come to a point close to 10. Not because I think everything will work out the way I planned or expected, but because I think that everything works out the way it’s supposed to. Good advice about removing doubt. Like the manual removal image.
Close to 10 definitely works Galen:) So glad you liked the post and the manual remove image:) Thanks for the comment and for dropping by. Always appreciated.
As you say, with wise and mature eyes we can look back and see that every situation has prepared us to be where we are suppose to be today. I use to waiver between 5, 6 and 7 in terms of rating that things will work out. Through some personal challenges caused by my own negativity and those imposed on me by others, I have begun to a). take my own fate/journey into my own hands and decide how I will react to challenges and situations that could derail me. b). follow four agreements with my self – maintain my integrity, don’t take things personally, don’t judge and do the best I can always. This has helped me to now rate my outlook towards outcomes btw 8, and 9. So progress is being made. Cheers
I love your approach Angela. I think that is such a great way to go about it and it always helps to hear how people are managing through things every single day. Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom here and thanks for the comment. Always appreciated.
When we ‘project’ our life into the future it can be full of doubt just like multipal ‘sources’ of data that is sent to a video projector, the correct aspect ratio is always changing.
What is the size of the screen?
Doubts, fear, loops, and the rest can be completely magnified just like over audio amperage, so as a result there is ‘feedback’ and distortion.
By living in the moment of ‘Now’ mistakes can be limited and decision making clearer.
By living in your personal moment of ‘Now’ you will find that your will not be caught up in the hurried confusion and fear that is on the Main Street.
There will be more living and less questions and “Talk” of the future:

Hi! After reading your post, I think it would be nice to create a diary of overcoming fears/problems where you record all the incidents where you successfully conquer your fear/doubt & went ahead winning. I already have a diary of smiles where I note down the one thing which made me smile today – for everyday! A great activity. Thank you for the idea
