Do not worry if you have built your castles in the air. They are where they should be. Now put the foundations under them. Henry David Thoreau
Do you feel that there are possibilities out there and more things you are meant to accomplish and have in your life? I know there are certain things I want for my life. Don’t you feel the same way?
Seeing and going after the possibilities we want is a good thing – actually it’s a great thing and what we’re meant to do. But, the key is to make sure that when we do find those things that are really important to us, we actually go after them AND accomplish them.
And, you know what I realized? In the past, I didn’t always have the right mindset and perspective when it came to the things I wanted. I mistakenly gave up on some things I was really passionate about too early. I stopped believing they were possible.
I would set a goal and charge after it, but when things didn’t fall into place like I expected, I would end up losing steam, quitting or letting the Chief Negativity Officer in my mind convince me it just wasn’t meant to be and things weren’t ever going to work out.
But, you live and learn – right? And, now I finally get it.
When there’s something you are passionate about and you really want for your life, you’ve got to WORK to get your mind right so you absolutely believe you can have it AND you also have to do YOUR PART to get it.
You can’t give up or assume it’s not meant to be if challenges arise. You can’t get discouraged if things don’t come together like you expected. Those thoughts all work against you getting what you want.
Strengthen Your Belief & Figure It Out
Your job is to strengthen your belief and you’ve got to figure out what’s not working. What can you do differently? What lessons are you meant to learn? What are your best next steps?
If you really feel something is absolutely right for you, then it is so worth fighting for. It’s worth figuring out how you can get over any limiting beliefs and clear away your doubts. It’s worth figuring out how you can get things to come together.
You can’t just assume that since things didn’t easily fall into place that what you want isn’t meant to be. You’ve got to realize that you have the ability to create and accomplish the things you want for your life – even when you’re not seeing the results you’ve been looking for.
You’ve always had the potential. The only questions are whether you really believe it and whether you’re doing the right things to get what’s really possible.
The Possibility of Today:
1. Commit Today And Go For It. If there is something you really feel you were meant to do or have in your life, decide you’re going to go for it.
2. Get Rid of Any Doubts. If you have any doubts at all, start getting rid of them today. How? Remind yourself of what’s really possible over and over again – overshadow your doubts. Click Here and read this.
3. Realize and Be Confident In Your Ability to Accomplish It. Realize that your dreams are your possibilities. If it really wasn’t possible, it would have never crossed your mind. There’s a reason why this idea popped into your mind. Don’t overlook or underestimate that.
4. Stay Enthusiastic. It’s easy to be enthusiastic in the beginning, but as time passes and you realize it may take some time to get what you want, it’s also easy to lose enthusiasm. Recharge your enthusiasm by focusing on how great you’ll feel when you finally get what you want. Enthusiasm is essential – it’s like one of my favorite quotes explains – “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

Thank you so much for this article. I’ve recently left my full time job to pursue designing my own products. It’s been 2 months, and I’m still trying to figure this whole thing out and feeling at times confused, loss and discouraged. Like you said, I need to strength my beliefs and figure it out and stay enthusiastic.

…oh to live the chapters of a great novel which one cannot put down…
…a story even in it’s introduction had a tone of excitement…what will it lead to?
…finishing the last page that you eventually ‘had to finish’

Is this not the same “now” for life?
The past is but a sentence.
Thank you Sibyl…
Thanks for the comment Rand and for dropping by and pointing my thoughts in the perfect direction:)
I love this site! I want to thank you for doing such an amazing job. Its uplifting and gives me a nudge when I lose confidence and want to quit. I share it with my fellow Native Americans on FB! I want them to excel and believe in themselves too! I pray that Creator will Bless us all and we do here on Mother Earth what we set our minds to and fulfill our dreams! Again, thank you very much!
This is really practical stuff. It does not let you go astray. It a also encourages you to remain foccused. There is no speculation here. It is a go getter stuff. I like it immensely.

“Commit and go for it” – you’re right we need a bias for action otherwise nothing will get done. By doing we can also discover best if it was the right thing and if it was it will give us confidence and courage to press forward.
So very true Peter:) Thanks for the comment and for dropping by. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
