How good are you at following your heart and doing what feels right regardless of what other people think? I used to never go against the grain or do things that were “outside the box”. There were so many times I reconsidered things I wanted and doubted myself just because other people were doing it differently.

But, you live and learn …

And, one day I realized I was trying so hard to fit into a box I was never meant to fit into.

It’s an easy trap to fall into isn’t it? We think we’ve got to fit in and do the things that are expected of us. But, you know what I finally learned? There is nothing more important than finding the way to your own truth and then following it. It’s like one my most favorite quotes says …

So, I say we let the thinking go that we need to “fit in” or do things the way they have always been done. It’s not that we should choose to do things differently just to go against the norm. But, if there is something that feels right deep down then you’ve got to follow your heart and intuition.

From time-to-time, I update my “it’s okay list” of things that some people consider “wrong” but they are by all means okay for us to do.
