One Really Important Realization To Have Today

Seasons of waiting are designed to prepare you, stretch your faith, and get you ready for everything that’s coming next. Mandy Hale

Have you been waiting on something to show up in your life for a while? Maybe you’ve been working to accomplish something and you’re so ready for things to fall into place? Or, maybe you’ve been working through some things and you can’t wait until you can count on continually feeling really good day after day?

I realized that many of us (myself definitely included) have been, in one way or another, managing through our personal “season of waiting”. Do you feel like it’s been a long road? I know I do. Of course it’s been worthwhile and an important part of our journey … but, hasn’t it been quite a ride? So much has happened.

There have been the “highs” – those moments when you felt really good and confident. You knew you were doing the right things and it was only a matter of time before things fell into place.

But, there may also have been the “not so highs” – those moments when things felt tough and your doubts and fears surfaced doing their best to overshadow your faith everything would work out.

When I was thinking about this “season of waiting” we’ve been managing through, I realized something.

It’s time. It’s finally time.

You’ve gotten stronger and learned so much about yourself. Your faith has been stretched. Your belief in what really is possible has been expanded. You’ve made it through so much and every single thing that happened has led you to this point.

And, Now It’s Time.

It’s time to have what you’ve wanted for so long. It’s time to know you’ve found your way and it’s just a matter of continuing down the path you’re on as more and more things fall into place. It’s time to live into it.

But, often times understanding that we can simply “live into it” can be the hardest thing to do.

Our minds convince us it’s too early to completely believe it’s happening or get our hopes up that we’ve made it through because there are still more steps and things that must fall into place. While it may be true there are more steps and things that must fall into place, one of the most important things to understand is that you have to live into what you want.

It’s no longer about “waiting”. It’s instead about believing and claiming the reality you’ve been wanting. Your “season of waiting” is over and now it’s time to appreciate everything you’ve already done and notice all the things that are already showing up.

You’ve seen signs and even had those “great days” when something fell into place. You’ve had moments (possibly many moments) when you’ve had a taste of how good it feels. But, those moments and tastes of goodness are not meant to be fleeting. You’re meant to have more of them until they fill your entire day.

And, that means you’ve got choose to have them every single day.

There’s no need to wait for every single thing to show up before you start appreciating that it’s happening and feeling great. You want to rest in the belief that you’ve done it and benefit from all the positive energy that naturally flows from there.

Moving through the day with the right perspective and our positive energy flowing allows us to avoid wasting energy feeling bad for ourselves or thinking its taking too long. And, as you may already know, self-pity is one of the strongest forces that works against us, discourages us and holds us back from what we want.

On the other hand, seeing that what you want is already happening, gives you a continual sense of contentment and appreciation that allows even more of what you want to show up. It’s the ripple effect in full force.

That’s what it means to live into what you’ve been waiting for. You start claiming the reality you want TODAY. You realize that you’re there and it’s just a matter of more and more things showing up. You choose the possibility TODAY to live and feel the way you’ve always wanted.

It’s like one of my most favorite quotes explains:

“The fastest way to “get there” in life is to stand firm in the knowledge that you’re already there.” Marianne Williamson

There’s no need to wait any longer. Live Into What You Want. Claim It. It’s Time.

The Possibility of Today: Living Into What You Want

1. Morning Boost. Start the day right. Take 10 minutes to focus on What’s Already Working. Give yourself credit for what you’ve already worked through and appreciate everything that’s already fallen into place.

2. Enjoy Your Day. As many times as you can, take time to enjoy the feeling that you’re making what you want happen. Let all these good feelings flow into your day and whatever you do.

3. Turn Up Your Energy. If you get discouraged or upset, stop whatever you’re doing and take 10 minutes to do something you enjoy – take a walk, a mini-meditation or do anything that elevates your mood.

Live Today Better than Yesterday.

Thanks so much! It’s just what I needed to “hear” today. It reminds me of the way Taoists embrace the cyclical nature of things. Sometimes we sow seeds, other times we reap what we sow. We can get so lost in the Fall and Winter of our lives, we forget that Spring and Summer are on their way! I needed the reminder to trust the process of life.

I am hoping to have a happy and confident lifestyle.

How about this … I have a happy and confident lifestyle:) Claim it and then just start living it. The reason why I recommend claiming it is because I’ve done it that way and one day I looked up and realized that I had it and I also had always had it. I just needed to realize it, claim it and start living it more and more. Thanks Cindy for the comment and dropping by.

    …so I am currently reading:

    ‘Waiting for God’
    Simone Weil

…I am already there knowing that tomorrow morning will be spent with my two daughters at Balboa Park’s Museum of Photographic Arts viewing the ‘Arnold Newman: Masterclass’ exhibit.
…I am already there knowing that on the 24th of this month I will be starting my 3rd ’30 Day Photo Journey’ offered by Joy at ‘Facets of Joy’ (you should give it a try…loads of fun).
…I am already there knowing that you stuck by me during some pretty tough times my dear Sibyl…loads of gratitude and a deep respect for you.
…I am already there knowing that I have neighbors that love me. My DVD ‘Lonesome Dove’ was returned to me this evening along with a small freshly baked cake…love it when the character ‘Gus’ on his death bed says to ‘Woodrow’ “It’ been some ride”.

…and what a ride it has been.

From ‘Waiting for God’ is this favorite poem/prayer of Simone Weil’s by the poet George Herbert (1593-1633).

    Love

LOVE bade me welcome; yet my soul drew back,
    Guilty of dust and sin.
But quick-eyed Love, observing me grow slack
    From my first entrance in,
Drew nearer to me, sweetly questioning
    If I lack’d anything.

‘A guest,’ I answer’d, ‘worthy to be here:’
Love said, ‘You shall be he.’
‘I, the unkind, ungrateful? Ah, my dear,
    I cannot look on Thee.’
Love took my hand and smiling did reply,
‘Who made the eyes but I?’

‘Truth, Lord; but I have marr’d them: let my shame
    Go where it doth deserve.’
‘And know you not,’ says Love, ‘Who bore the blame?’
‘My dear, then I will serve.’
‘You must sit down,’ says Love, ‘and taste my meat.’
So I did sit and eat.

    ~ George Herbert

    Thank you Sibyl…

Now I’m trying to find freedom to live and be me and o don’t know how yo do either
So I get discouraged and feel like I’m doing something wrong my heart knows I’m not but mu mind is a constant battle
This article speaks volume’s because it reminded me of the days when I yearned to be bu myself

    Michael E Wiggins says:

After reading “One Really Important Realization ” I feel better about my circumstances. Feeling like I am waiting for some Revelation or some Big Thing to happen.
But realizing that it is already happening really makes sense. When my friends ask me how I am doing I tell them I am still here, I am still standing. Why am I still standing, because I am getting stronger, wiser and walking by faith. I am not the same as I was or I would still be back there. I AM moving forward, I am Living into what I want.
I have seen, by helping others and giving of myself helps a great deal as well. That gives more weight to the inspired words ” There is more Happiness in Giving than there is in receiving ”
Thank you for this information :)
