Finding Clarity: When You Don’t Know What Else You Can Do

Maybe you’re even unsure about your best steps forward because it’s not like you haven’t been trying everything. You’ve been patient and open and willing and trying and believing, but it doesn’t seem to matter because it’s not working.

So, what do you do? You can’t just give up. You’ve got to figure something out. What’s the best path forward?

I asked myself this exact question the other day. Even though I’ve been in situations like this before that are filled with uncertainty, I always seem to reach the point when I need a reminder of the best path forward.

You’ve got to control the things you’re meant to and trust the things you’re not able to control, I reminded myself the other day.

Achieving The Ideal Balance

There’s a balance we’re meant to strike because it’s not always about resigning to situations and deciding there’s nothing you can do. But, it’s also not about trying to control everything or thinking things need to happen the way you expect or on your timeline.

Instead it’s about achieving an ideal balance. You live from your Extraordinary Side, or Higher Self, each day so you can best work through whatever situation or circumstances you’re confronted with.

On some days that means it’s time to take another step forward and find your way through the latest challenge.

On other days, it means you accept there’s nothing more you can do because you’ve already done all you could. On these days, you’re being asked to let go and trust that whatever is happening is somehow or someway leading you exactly where you need to be (even if it’s not what you wanted).

You live each day according to the wisdom of one of the most profound and timeless truths…

Your state of mind becomes more peaceful, faithful, patient and wise. You are living each day as your Extraordinary Side and that changes everything … including helping to resolve the situation and your problems.

3 Important Things To Remember:

1. Set Yourself Up Every Morning To Have A Mindful Day: Get up a little earlier and give yourself extra time (1 – 2 hrs.) to relax, meditate, do yoga, exercise or anything else that settles your mind. Yes, challenges happen and life gets difficult at times, but problems are always less complicated when your mind isn’t amplifying problems, doubts or fears.

Remember that your mindset during the day and your thoughts about the situation determine how you feel and also play a vital role in how and when situations settle and fall into place.

If you’re filled with doubts, stuck in a negative thinking pattern, complaining, always seeing the glass half empty, stressed, etc. then you’re not trusting and working with the present moment.

Overdo the relaxation time and spend as much time as you can settling your mind and staying centered in your Extraordinary Side. It helps tremendously.

2. Get Rid Of Disappointment By Reminding Yourself of The Truth: A lot of times when we’re waiting for things to fall into place, we want answers and resolutions as quickly as possible. But, those expectations are exactly what feed the negative patterns of anxiety, stress, and worry.

The reality is that most situations don’t get resolved overnight and a lot of times they don’t get resolved quickly. Don’t get upset or assume things will not work out because another challenge comes up or it’s taking a while for things to get resolved. Whatever is happening is helping you get exactly where you need to be, even the challenges. So, remind yourself of this throughout the day because it’s easy to forget.

3. Get Your Mind Out Of The Way & Take It One Step At A Time. No overthinking, focusing on worse case scenarios, or being angry or upset about the situation you’re in. During the day, catch yourself every time you notice you’re focusing on the wrong things. Do the work that is necessary to pull your mind out of its dysfunctional patterns. When you consistently do this, you’re able to see your best steps forward, more clarity comes and the bumpy ride smoothes out.
